Once again we had the pleasure of being a sponsor of the event this year. I have to
say, "This year was even better for me", I was able to witness several of
the specific events and took several hundred pictures. I am sharing the
pics with you that do not contain any sensitive info of the competitor. Lets not ever forget that while we are sitting at home reloading some ammo or at the range burning that ammo, there are snipers somewhere protecting our right to do so. We should all give thanks to these warriors!!! They are a big part of us civilians having the freedoms that we do. We at McRee's give thanks to all of you that serve our great nation!!! |
|
| We are proud to say that we were chosen to be part of the Third Place Gift Packages. Each of the shooters that took 3rd in their class received a full tilt chassis package. | |

Here are some pics of the Stalk Portion of the competition and some
general details. I won't put here exactly how it all goes, just enough to
give you the drift it. This event consisted of a 'Real World' set of conditions. The competitors had to simulate a quick/distance infil/run to the Target AO, at that time, they stalked to an adequate firing position and did a Mock Shot on the target. At all times while in the Stalk Mode, they were under observation, if spotted, it was all over. When the shooter took the Mock Shot, an observer came to his position, noted the position details, the shooter was then taken to the live firing line, the position re built to match the Mock Shot. The shooter then engaged his target just as he would have in the real world. A miss meant that it was all over, 0 score. |

We fired for hours at this tank, +/- 380 yards.
We sent most of our rounds right down in the muzzle of the tank.
Notice the Blk circle in this picture. We successfully engaged this tank, took 3 rnds to get on, then we were good to go. Lets just say, it was beyond a mile, pretty good for a 308win. Shooter Ranging the Target, with the USO MILMPR Reticle.
I'm passing on the Dope
Myself and the young man in the next picture put a few rounds on
the tank.
